How to play
- Press play. Each day has one Paintle — everyone sees the same pattern.
- Memorise. The grid is revealed for a short countdown. Study the position and colour of every painted cell.
- Draw. When the grid clears, you have a set amount of time to repaint what you remember, cell by cell, using the colour palette below the grid.
- Submit. Send in your drawing before time runs out, or it's submitted automatically when the timer hits zero.
- Get scored. Your attempt is compared to the original and marked on shape, colour and time.
Scoring
- Shape — how closely the cells you painted line up with the original layout.
- Colour — for the cells you got in the right place, how many are also the right colour.
- Time — a bonus for submitting with time to spare.
There's no penalty for trying — a new Paintle is waiting every day.

Paintle is a daily drawing puzzle — one prompt a day, and you try to draw it. It's built and run independently, with new prompts published each day.
